From West Mt. Airy Neighbors:
When: Wed., June 8, 7:30 pm
Where: Summit Presbyterian Church, Greene & Westview Sts.
Sponsored by West Mt. Airy Neighbors
With at least two new businesses slated to open on the 500 and 600 blocks of Carpenter Lane this year, parking and traffic issues are of great concern to residents and existing businesses in the area. West Mt. Airy Neighbors is sponsoring a public meeting to discuss possible solutions to some of these problems, and is inviting city officials to be present as well.

KP Comment:
From the announcement, the impetus for the meeting appears to be the 2 new businesses opening up - one across from the school & the other in the next block down. I haven't heard complaints from neighbors I know who live across the street from the school, but I'd imagine the heavy flow of traffic around the school at morning drop-off & maybe less so at afternoon pick-up, might slow the process of getting in & out of the house.
I will be surprised if school traffic & parking doesn't come up in the meeting.
